Mediation is a powerful process and provides an alternative to leaving your dispute up to the Court. We firmly believe in empowering parties to get involved in creative solution generation. Studies show that when parties are actively involved in the mediation process that the rate of compliance increases. It makes sense, we want a sense of control over our future and mediation provide a breath of fresh air in the face of adversarial and costly litigation.
Our mediators are trained in various techniques designed to facilitate robust opinion generation and help the parties reach a mutually beneficial agreement. Depending on the nature of the case and preference of the parties or their counsel, we can provide a range of perspectives from facilitative to evaluative mediation styles. Above all, we believe in respect, candor, and open communication.
Once scheduled, we will request a mediation memo be prepared laying out the context of the case, including all relevant pleadings and evidence that will allow us to adequately prepare to best serve the parties the day of mediation. Additionally, we will setup a time to speak with counsel for both parties or the parties themselves if appropriate, to gather as much information as possible concerning the interest of the parties and any prior negotiation of settlement.
Let us help you and your client get it settled! Feel free to reach out if you have any additional questions or would like to schedule your next mediation.
